This is the second instalment in Ms. Carlton’s Mel Goes to Hell series, and it doesn’t disappoint. After beginning the series with the short novelette, I was looking forward to continuing the series and it was a thoroughly entertaining ride.
Ms. Carlton has a vivid imagination, and the power to bring mythology into the modern corporate world with a bang and an entertaining twist.
Mel, the main character in the series is an angel, and finds herself surround by demons in the Hell Corporation, which is predominantly run by demons, and the CEO is suspected of being Lucifer himself.
I love these stories. Admittedly, it has been a steep learning curve for me, as I didn’t have a good grasp on the mythology of angels and demons, but this doesn’t detract from the overall reading experience.
This series is thoroughly recommended, and yet another example of Ms. Carlton’s excellent skills at both writing, and providing great entertainment to her readers.
