Protective Hearts primarily takes place in the area surrounding Chicago, Illinois, with some key scenes taking place in Massachusetts. While some of the places are real, certain key settings are an amalgamation of places which have grown in my imagination, and have been given names which you’ll never find in your GPS 🙂
