After a year of bliss with Nevil, Shelton is offered the promotion he’s been working toward at the bank. Unfortunately the new position is in another state, and Nevil doesn’t want to move. As tension mounts between them, Shelton is given another challenge in the form of a besotted coworker. Torn between the pressures at work and at home, Shelton has to choose his future. That is, until Nevil takes the decision out of his hands.
This was another strong entry into the ‘Shelton’ series by Dianne Hartsock, but admittedly, I found Shelton’s decision to take the offered promotion, despite it being in another state to be surprising, and I wasn’t entirely certain that it was in character with what I’ve known to learn and love about Shelton.
Despite this gripe, the book is a delight to read, Ms. Hartsock is a master crafter of short stories, fitting a lot of story into a short number of pages. I love Shelton and Nevil, the characters are showing growth with each book I’ve read. This book is another one which I recommend to lovers of M/M romance.
