Seven Sentinels 2 is Brewing

To be fair, I actually started writing a different novel, but it occurred to me that I have a nasty habit of writing the FIRST book of every series, (and believe me, there’s always some characters who want their stories told that didn’t get a look-in in book one) but I tend to go off on a tangent after ending a book and start listening to some of the other characters who are bouncing around in my head.

Which is what I did at the end of ‘Chance the Past’. Instead of going back to one of my other series, I started a new book (the contents of which I won’t go into here) rather than listening to the characters who were shouting the loudest.

Consequently, somewhere between Christmas, New Years, and a bout of COVID, I had an epiphany regarding my writing choices and decided to be a wee bit more sensible and get back to my roots with some of my books. I know lots of writers are just brilliant at picking up a series and running with it from Book A to Book B, Book C etc. etc., but that’s not what my somewhat manic brain seems to like doing. But damn it, I’m going to try and be more sensible, so my 2025 writing plan has been significantly revamped and I’m going to try (hard) to concentrate on follow-ups to my earlier novels. And it’s meant that my brain is even more full of noise than normal, with old friends from former books all very vocal about having their stories told.

I’m well known for being slow (and angst-ridden and procrastinate-ry) about my writing, but this year, I’m going to try hard and get at least a couple of books written and published, rather than my usual single book. Wish me luck!
